I want to lose at least 20 pounds by the time school starts. So i have from now till about September 2nd. It also has to be free. I'm almost 15 and i weigh around 165 pounds and I'd like to be 120ish winter 2009. Is it possible. Give me some tips please. No websites that are going to cost me any form of money. Thanks!
running is great for weightloss, but you need to incorporate other types of exercise in with your activities, such as yoga, swimming, boxing, biking, things like that. you also need to lift weights to increase muscle density. muscle density is what helps you lose weight faster. lift weights at least three times per week and try some yoga at night. walk as much as possible, and don't sit while you watch television, get on the floor and do stretching exercises and push ups, crunches and plank exercises. keep moving all the time
eat lean meats and nuts, egg whites for protein, whole grains for energy, fruits and veggies for health and avoid fast food, junk foods, processed foods and anthing with high fructose corn syrup, don't skip meals or go hungry
I want to lose body fat and become lean/ripped but how much cardio should I do to lose body fat and how many times do I need to cardio in a week at the gym?
And also I need to make sure that I am not burning away muscle tissue because I am bodybuilding at the moment so please try and give me the right amount of cardio I should do.
It depends on how much you weigh and how much body fat you want to lose. If you have a lot of body fat to lose, you will want to do more cardio. If you have not too much body fat to lose, you don't need to do as much cardio. But regardless of how much body fat you would like to lose, you must, MUST continue weight training (lifting weights) to maintain your muscle.
You cannot build muscle and burn fat at the same time; it is either one or the other. When you build muscle, you always gain a bit of fat (depending on how many more calories you ate above your maintenance calories). What body builders do is, they do 2 weeks of heavy lifting (to gain muscle), then 2 weeks of cardio and not as heavy of lifting (to burn fat yet maintain your muscle).
If you really want to be exact about the number of calories you should eat and the number of calories that you burn doing whatever cardio you do, try http://caloriecount.about.com/
Can you possibly give me some causes?
Here are my symptoms:
Rapid weight loss (about 28 pounds in about 3 weeks)
Headaches
Sudden drowziness/lethargy
Joint pain.
I am seeing a physician tomorrow, but I want to know what kind of diseases or conditions could possibly cause this.
And no, I have not changed my diet or exercise routine.
I run 7 miles everyday but I have been doing so for three years.
Thank you!
Thyroid problems
various endocrine issues
assorted cancers
He's gonna do bloodwork that will point him in the right direction.
Thats a LOT of weight to lose that fast.
Good Luck
I am wondering if anyone can tell me a healthy/fat burning/ muscle building combonation of supplements I can take that will not put on extra body fat. I'm already healthy, and I've been training intensely for the last 4 months. I don't want to look like Arnold or anything, just nice and cut. I already eat very healthy so diet is not a problem. Thanks people.
no idea
Like im eating 2250 calories a day and burning off like 1750 (i have about 4 weeks where i can committ myself solely to this goal at the moment) so burning 1750 calories a day is possible.
is this ok? i cant eat less cause i just get hungry so it seems the only way i can do it is by exercising A LOT
as long as you eat enough and your not stressing your body out too much i think it should be fine
