How do I calculate or figure what my target heart rate shoulde be for optimal fat burning?



I am 20yrs old, 5'7" and about 140.
How long should I do cardio and what is my target hr?
I want to burn fat not lean muscle…

At 20 years old, your heart rate should be:

125 BPM Fat Burn
145 BPM Max Fat Burn
165 BPM Aerobic

Fat burning doesn't begin until after 15 minutes of exercise - 30 minutes is the minimum recommended for walking
